a self reminder: 26 things to be grateful while being in quarantine


recently i list down (in my head) several positive things to be grateful during the quarantine, i do get bored sometimes, where i feel like i have done everything at home, from cleaning the kitchen floor, to the spider web at some corner of my house. but i believe there are much to be grateful for rather than just being bored and think about all of the possibility that i could have done at this moment.

so here is the list of things that i am grateful for, which you also can relate to some of it, while being stuck at home:

  1. not waking up to an alarm, just your natural body clock, nothing is more comforting than that
  2. got heaps of time for morning stretch
  3. able to really spend the time with your family (i know this doesn't apply to all of you, some hate their siblings, but trust me it's better knowing you are not alone during the quarantine)
  4. you can save the cost for not going to the office
  5. also save the lunch cost because your mom is cooking! 
  6. not having to wait for that busy elevator at the office
  7. not risking your life for getting the virus in public
  8. not meeting those people that you have been avoiding all this time
  9. not doing the task / exam that you already overthink 1 month before it really happened
  10. you can do monday thursday fasting without being out in public
  11. you can really take the time to pray whenever you want to
  12. not having to come home tired after a long day
  13. you could finish all those books that been staring at you from your bedroom table
  14. you could check all the list from your youtube watch later
  15. you could refresh your mind by tuning into netflix whenever you feel like to.. your boss is not around anyway..
  16. plenty of time for you to do any type of skin care routine
  17. able to pet your cat/dog while you are working
  18. able to find new hobby (as in me: i found yoga)
  19. able to create some new business! i believe there are a lot of new small business around you!
  20. you could keep all your shoes and bags clean in their place
  21. you could dance all you want when you started to feel stressed from the work (some do WFH)
  22. you can put on natural hair mask all morning (for me i use candlenut oil or minyak kemiri)
  23. no need to straighten your hair everyday, your hair got some rest yay
  24. no make up also! your skin is cheering in joy 
  25. you could go to sleep without thinking which clothes should i wear tomorrow
  26. you could peacefully go to sleep without thinking that you need to wake up earlier just to wash your hair! i feel ya girls

well, that are some things that i thought, not this much but as i type all the things keeps popping in my head and that made me think again like whoaa too much things to be grateful for. i am glad being a home buddy during this time, but i hope if you are also not a home buddy -you could at least reminded to be grateful by some of the the things i wrote above.
